Next Door Gallery is delighted to announce the return of acclaimed multidisciplinary artist Sheree Foster for a special two week exhibition, running from 4th of May to 17th of May 2026. After an 18-month hiatus, Sheree will present in the gallery most days, ready to share the stories behind her latest works and engage with art lovers and collectors.

Sheree’s practise is renowned for blurring the boundaries between painting and sculpture, resulting in hybrid forms that challenge and inspire. Her large-scale works harness the creative force of fire, with each deconstructed and reassembled, then infused with metals, timbers, vibrant hues, and resin.

These “one off” compositions maintain an organic rawness, reflecting Sheree’s commitment two re-contextualising recycled materials and allowing their histories to emerge anew.

The exhibition also features Sheree's celebrated “Wax Impressions Series”, where layers of New Zealand wax capture subtle textures and organic movement. Available in both round and square formats these works invite the viewers to appreciate the quiet complexity and soft , muted palette that define the series.

Collectors will also have will also have the opportunity to acquire pieces from Sheree's signature nature-inspired 3D artworks. Each piece is captured in nature and transformed into striking contemporary artwork, with styles ranging from natural tones to vibrant colours, copper detailing, soft feathers and layered textures. These works have becomes highly sought after, gracing homes and collections across the country.
